This is to inform the general public that West African Examination Council, WAEC has announce the commencement of registration for the 2012 Nov/Dec WASSCE examination.

The closing date for registration is fixed on 20th July, 2012 and you are expected to complete your online registration before that date. However, later registration will attract penalty fee.

To register online, you will need to purchase the registration scratch card at the rate of N6,550 only. Please note that after the closing date of registration (20th July) a cost for the card (Late Registration) rises to N10,000. The scratch cards can be purchased at all WAEC Offices Nationwide.

The main exam commence on Monday 27th August, 2012 and Ends on Saturday 6th October, 2012.

Rules and regulations;

(1) Candidates should note that examination fees are not refundable.
(2) Entries must be accompanied with good quality (not “wait and get”) passport size photographs.
Entries with unacceptable passport photographs will be rejected.
(3) Scratch cards purchased in any location can be used for uploading entries from anywhere.
(4) Candidates should study carefully, the information on the scratch cards before registration.
(5) Candidates should study the Regulations and Syllabuses as well as the Timetable for the
examination which they can download using their scratch cards
(6) Candidates who lose their scratch cards will purchase another card.
(7) All candidates must go to their examination halls in mufti and without arms. No professional
uniform of any kind will be allowed in the examination halls.
(8) The entire results of candidates who make more than one entry will be cancelled.
(9) Smoking is not allowed in the examination hall.
(10) Cellular phones and electronic organizers are not allowed in the examination halls.
(11) Involvement in examination malpractices are not allowed in the examination halls.
(12) No request for amendment/correction will be entertained or any information which candidate
voluntarily gives at the point of registration after the conduct of the examination

Attempt of UTME
All applicants to ELIZADE University are required to have sat for the 2012/2013 UTME of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attained the minimum pass-mark as prescribed by JAMB.

University’s Post UTME Screening Exercise
All applicants to ELIZADE University must undertake the University’s Post-UTME screening exercise to be conducted on Friday, 13th July, 2012 at 10.00 a.m. at the University Campus. Only CANDIDATES who scored the prescribed JAMB cut-off mark in the 2012/2013 UTME are ELIGIBLE to apply to ELIZADE UNIVERSITY.

Ordinary Level Requirements
All applicants to ELIZADE University must have credit level passes in five (5) subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.  These subjects shall include English Language for all applicants, with 4 other subjects.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will release the cut-off marks for admission into universities on May 21, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, the Registrar, has said.

He said that a harmonised cut-off point would kick start admission process for 2012/2013.

The 2012/2013 JAMB-UTME was conducted on March 24, with a total of 1.5 million candidates registered for it.

The release of the cut-off marks will kick-start this year admission screening exercises by various higher institutions.

Now that the 2012 JAMB-UTME results have been released,  and you have seen your score, what remains now is the cut-off mark for each university.

JAMB has pegged the 2012/2013 cut-off mark at 180 for universities and 160 for polytechnics and colleges of education.

However, each institution has its own right to peg the cut-mark depending on the number of candidates that applied and their JAMB-UTME scores.

Knowing the cut-off mark for your institutions will enable you prepare well for their exam and will also determine if there is a need for changing of institution course before it is too late.

Our decision to provide you with the cut-off marks is to help you make informed decision before it is too late.

The results of 2012 JAMB UTME was officially released by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB yesterday. The 2012 JAMB UTME exam was held on the 24th March, 2012, and the result was released 6days later.

The result is available for check online using JAMB official website.

The breakdown of the results show the numbers of candidates who sat for the exam and their score, the highest score and other statistics about the exam will be posted later.

We are glad to inform you that the long awaited results of 2011 November/December Senior School Certificate Examinations of the National Examination Council have been released.

The results were released by Prof. Promise Okpala, Registrar, National Examinations Council (NECO), at a press briefing in Minna on Wednesday. This year’s results recorded another mass failure as 90 percent of the candidates who sat for the 2011 GCE of NECO failed the examination.

The breakdown of the results showed that only 10 per cent, that is 10,459 out of the 110,724 candidates that sat for the examinations scored credit and above in the core subjects including English Language.

According to NECO registrar, there was an improvement in the performance of candidates in Mathematics as 41 per cent of the candidates obtained credit pass and above when compared to the 17 per cent recorded in the same subject in 2010.

It will be recalled that only 20.10 per cent of the candidates that sat for the 2010 November/December NECO GCE made credit passes in English Language while 34.18 per cent passed Mathematics.
