NECO Releases Results of 2011/2012 November/December GCE/External SSCE

We are glad to inform you that the long awaited results of 2011 November/December Senior School Certificate Examinations of the National Examination Council have been released.

The results were released by Prof. Promise Okpala, Registrar, National Examinations Council (NECO), at a press briefing in Minna on Wednesday. This year’s results recorded another mass failure as 90 percent of the candidates who sat for the 2011 GCE of NECO failed the examination.

The breakdown of the results showed that only 10 per cent, that is 10,459 out of the 110,724 candidates that sat for the examinations scored credit and above in the core subjects including English Language.

According to NECO registrar, there was an improvement in the performance of candidates in Mathematics as 41 per cent of the candidates obtained credit pass and above when compared to the 17 per cent recorded in the same subject in 2010.

It will be recalled that only 20.10 per cent of the candidates that sat for the 2010 November/December NECO GCE made credit passes in English Language while 34.18 per cent passed Mathematics.

How to Check the 2011 November/December NECO GCE Result

1. Visit http://www.mynecoexams.com/results/default.aspx

2. Select year Examination Type

3. Select year of examination

4. Enter your card PIN number

5. Enter your Examination Number

6. Click on “Check My Result” button

Please note that you will need a pin from result checking scratch card if you have misplaced your card before you can check your result. You can get them from NECO agents, cyber cafés or business centre nearest to you.
