Federal University, Dutse 2011/2012 Post-UTME Screening Exercise Date, Form and Registration

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, DUTSE POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE FOR 2011/2012 ADMISSIONS

The Federal University, Dutse, one of the nine universities recently established by the Federal Government, invites prospective applicants for admission into its degree programmes for the post-UTME screening exercise as follows:

Screening Date:

The screening will take place on October 27, 2011

Time: 10 am prompt

Venue: Federal University, Dutse, Ibrahim Aliyu Bypass, Dutse, Jigawa State

Eligibility:

Only candidates who obtained the UTME score of 180 and above and who selected FUD as their first should attend the screening exercise.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

Candidates shall possess the SSCE/NECO/GCE or equivalent with credit passes in five subjects in not more than two sittings including English and Mathematics. In addition, a candidate shall have an acceptable score, not less than 180, in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Agriculture Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agric. Science Physics, and Chemistry UTME subjects are: English, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Mathematics/Physics.

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences:

Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English and Literature in English. UTME subjects are: English, Literature in English, one Arts subject and any other Social Science subject.
Criminology and Security Studies Credit in Mathematics and English Language plus credit pass in either Economics, Geography, Government or other two subjects at the SSCE, NECO, GCE or their equivalent not more than two sittings. UTME subjects are: English, Economics, Government, Mathematics, and any other subject.

Faculty of Science:

Programme Admission Requirements

UTME Remarks
Microbiology Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other science subject. UTME subjects are: English, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.

 

Mathematics

 

Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English and Mathematics and any other three subjects preferably further Mathematics, Physics Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science in that order. UTME subject are: English, Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics in order of preference.

 

Registration Procedure:

Candidates will be required to obtain and fill the choice of course form, available on our web site (www.fud.edu.ng) , and attach one recent passport size photograph to it.

Candidates are required to provide the following information:

i) Full Name

ii) Sex and Date of Birth

iii) State of Origin

iv) “O” Level Results

v) JAMB Registration Number

vi) UTME Score

vii) Choice of Course

 

Candidates will pay the sum of One Thousand Naira
(N1, 000.00) as examination and processing fee in form of a Bank draft payable to Federal University Dutse, Account No. 1015404779, Sort Code No. 033263128 United Bank For Africa, Dutse Branch, Jigawa State.

Mandatory Screening Documents

  1. 1. Original and photocopy of the UTME Result Slip
  2. 2. Original and photocopy of SSCE, GCE, or NECO results
  3. 3. One copy of completed application forms
  4. 4. One passport photograph
  5. 5. Bank draft of N1, 000 in favour of Federal University, Dutse

The University will keep in reserve applications for courses not listed above and will contact the applicants whenever there are lecturers available for such courses.
