SCREENING OF POST-UTME CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR FOR THE 2010/2011 ACADEMIC SESSION
This is to inform all candidates who have chosen University of Calabar as their First Choice in their application for admission into the University for the 2010/2011 Academic Session. The post-UTME screening exercise has been scheduled to take place from Friday 20th August Saturday 21th August, 2010.
Eligibility:
All candidates who meet the cut-off point scores as indicated against each academic programme in the relevant column are eligible to participate in the post-UTME screening exercise.

PROCEDURE FOR ON-LINE REGISTRATION
STEP 1
Proceed to any of the banks on the e-transact network and request to pay for uncial Post-UTME application form via e-transact.You will be required to pay the Post-UTME screening fee of N1,000.00 ( One thousand Naira only) and portal / bank processing charges of N550.00 (Five hundred and fifty Naira) only.

Step 2
Collect your e-transact receipt from the bank after payment and proceed to any internet center. Be sure you take with you a recent scanned passport photograph of yourself and an authentic sample of your scanned signature, as these will be required to be uploaded in the process of registration.
THE SCRATCH CARD OPTION
Post-UTME scratch cards are available for those who may have difficulties or delay in obtaining the e-transact receipt. Locations and selected cities to obtain the scratch cards are:
Calabar (UNICAL Microfinance Bank,WEMA Bank PLC and First Bank of Nig.PLC)
Ikom ( First Bank Plc)
Port-Harcourt ( First Bank Plc)
Uyo ( First Bank Plc)
Owerri ( First Bank Plc)
On obtaining the scratch card, proceed to any internet center. Log on to Unical Portal here. Click on 2010 POST-UTME REGISTRATION under Online Form link. The next page will require you to enter your JAMB Registration number and your scratch card number against the field provided. Click on log on and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the form.
FINAL STEP
Confirm your entry before clicking on submission. After clicking on submission, print the form as evidence of your registration and bring along to the screening venue.
DEADLINE
REGISTRATION WILL BE SHUT DOWN AT 12.00 MID NIGHT ON TUESDAY 17TH AUGUST, 2010

PLSSS THE UNICAL WEBSITE IS REALLY GIVING ALOT OF PEOPLE PROBLEM TO OPEN..SO THEY REALLY NEED TO POST PONED THE EXAM DATE AND DEAD LINE FOR REGISTRATION……….
It is becoming very sad. Why should registration be closed after a short while? The number of unregistered students out there is outragious? Exploitations are rampant from the ignorant poor in cyber cafes just because of high internet demands. Banks are making abnormal profits at the detriments of the less educated poor. No body cares, No body is saying anything. My plea here is for the Students’ Union to rise to their responsibilities. SUGs, NANS, ETC all arise and let nigerian students suffer less. Unical should extend their online registration!
please for the sake of nigerian student who are unable to complete their online registration iam pleading for a day extension to enable them complete their registration.thank you as you oblige
