West African Examinations Council (WAEC) May-June 2010 Result Released

The WEST African Examination Council, WAEC, yesterday, announced the released of the May/June 2010 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASCE) result with only 337,071 candidates, representing 24.94 per cent, obtaining credits in English Language, Mathematics and at least three other subjects which are the requirements for admission into tertiary institutions.

Head of the Nigeria National office of WAEC, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, who announced the results, said of the overall total number of candidates, 1,278,843, representing 94.62 per cent had their results fully processed, while 72,714 candidates, (more…)

Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, Monday 9th August 2010, refuted the rumour that he had been shot dead by assassins.

The President said “I dey kampe,” meaning ‘I am alive and well’, said Obasanjo jocularly in pidgin English in a telephone interview.

“This morning I went to do community work at Pakoto near Ifo.

“I have since returned to Abeokuta and have attended a meeting on the (Presidential) library”, Obasanjo said.

He thanked all those who had expressed concern over his safety, adding that in the belief of his Yoruba people, it meant that he still has many more years to live.

Below are full details on University of Uyo post-UTME 2010/2011 Screening Exercise.

University of Uyo hereby invites to a screening exercise candidates who made the University their first choice in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and made a total score of 180 and above.

Online registration begins on Monday, July 26 2010 and ends on Sunday, 15 August 2010. Without online registration, you may not take the screening test.

Only those that chose UniUyo as their First Choice and their result has been given to us by Jamb can register only

Registration Process:

The Federal Polytechnic Nekede Post-UTME 2010/2011

The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede 2010/2011 Post-UTME Screening exercise, below are the details and the candidates are advised to follow the steps below:
Candidates of the 2010 UTME who chose the mentioned school as their 1st or 2nd choice, who scored up to 180 and above, and are wiling to write the post ume exam should therefore take note of the following instructions.

OBTAINING THE PIN:

To obtain the pin, candidates should deposit the sum of N1000.00 to the school’s account through (1) fidelity bank and (2) intercontinental bank branches within the school. Such people are then advised to check back later in the bank to obtain the confirmation order and pin. You can now proceed online to fill the registration forms.
