FIRST CHOICE ADMISSION – INTERACTIVE SESSION
Following the submission of result(s) by candidates who made the University of Ibadan their First Choice Most Preferred Institution, ALL prospective candidates are expected to check their e-mails, GSM phones (SMS) and the University’s website for the status of their application from the Friday, 23 July 2010.
The shortlisted candidates are requested to present themselves for verification and interactive session at the University of Ibadan on Thursday, 29 July, 2010. (Please check your status on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng using your username and password as from Friday, 23 July,2010).- For candidates shortlisted for the first interactive session should click here to check their names
Candidates should report at the Lecture Theatre of their prospective Faculties for the exercise at 8.30 am prompt with the following documents.

- Original and photocopies of JAMB Notification of Result.
- Original and photocopies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE certificates.
Original and photocopies of birth certificate/sworn declaration of age.

- Candidates should note that online statements of results obtained before Nov.-Dec. 2008 are not acceptable for this exercise.

Two recent passport size photographs – showing frontal face view. Size should be 5.2cm
x 5.2cm.
4. The date for the verification/interactive session may not be extended. Therefore, a candidate who fails to show up at the stipulated time and date is deemed to have forfeited his/her chances of being considered for admission.B.
SECOND CHOICE INTERACTIVE SESSION- Candidates who made the University of Ibadan their Second Choice Most Preferred Institution, should check the website for information on the date for the commencement of payment of N1,000.00 into the designated bank accounts and the online submission of their biodata and results.
For further information, candidates should visit the University of Ibadan Website (http://www.ui.edu.ng/admission)- Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will automatically be disqualified and handed over to the law enforcement agents.

I just got information that the second list for first choice will be out immediately after the 29th July 2010.

I just been informed that those that where not shortlisted for first interactive session was that the weight of their result was not enough (both UTME and SSCE/GCE).
Be aware that if you have too many Cs, it will not favour you if you are looking for admission in University of Ibadan. It is better to run away from U.I if you have too many Cs except you have somebody in the school authority that can aid your admission.
This may apply to those that are seeking admission for courses that are not competative.
There are other admission criteria like catchment area, Educational Less Development State, merit etc
Unlike other school that will use Post-UTME result and UTME as long as you meet SSCE/GCE minimum qualification of five relevant credits, University of Ibadan is not like that.
For this year admission, those that were not invited for the interview means that the weight of their result was not enough and they are told to wait till later date when they will be informed for change of course.
