SCREENING OF POST-UTME CANDIDATES FOR AUCHI POLYTECHNIC AUCHI FOR 2010/11 ADMISSIONS
This is to inform all candidates, who have chosen Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi as the most preferred, more preferred or preferred Polytechnic for the 2010/2011 admissions, that the Post JAMB UTME screening exercise will hold from 25th August to 27th August, 2010.
ELIGIBILITY

The WEST African Examination Council, WAEC, yesterday, announced the released of the May/June 2010 West African
Senior School Certificate Examination (WASCE) result with only 337,071 candidates, representing 24.94 per cent, obtaining credits in English Language, Mathematics and at least three other subjects which are the requirements for admission into tertiary institutions.
Head of the Nigeria National office of WAEC, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, who announced the results, said of the overall total number of candidates, 1,278,843, representing 94.62 per cent had their results fully processed, while 72,714 candidates, (more…)
I’m alive, says Obasanjo…debunks death rumour

Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, Monday 9th August 2010, refuted the rumour that he had been shot dead by assassins.
The President said “I dey kampe,” meaning ‘I am alive and well’, said Obasanjo jocularly in pidgin English in a telephone interview.
“This morning I went to do community work at Pakoto near Ifo.
“I have since returned to Abeokuta and have attended a meeting on the (Presidential) library”, Obasanjo said.
He thanked all those who had expressed concern over his safety, adding that in the belief of his Yoruba people, it meant that he still has many more years to live.

The 2010/2011 Post UTME screening exercise earlier scheduled for 4th – 6th August 2010 will now hold from 25th – 27th August 2010. All intending first and second choice candidates are hereby advised to endeavour to complete their registration before midnight on Saturday, 14th August 2010.
